The food was delicious, both dinner and breakfast. You can order scrambled eggs, a boiled hot egg or a fried egg. The service staff are very courteous, there are also fresh towels every day without being asked. Everything is clean and tidy, and extensive WiFi in the rooms would be nice. The hygiene standards are very good, there is disinfectant everywhere and the waitress wears mouth and nose protection throughout.

Pick-up chickens have been legendary for decades

We ordered deliciously flavored and crispy chicken to take away. After 20min. Were they ready for collection. As always tasty and a recommendation. Attention: Restaurant opening times in July and August 2020: Mon-Sat 5 pm-10pm. Closed on Tuesdays. Sun 11: 30-14h and 17-22h. Company holidays 3.8.-11.8.2020.

The service was very friendly, but unfortunately the rest was very disappointing! For the drinks we had ordered a gin and tonic because the friendly waitress said they had a new gin delivered. This was then no longer there (Saturday evening). We then ordered an Aperol Spritz and it came quickly. However, this drink had little in common with an Aperol. It only tasted like champagne. It was just slightly orange and the orange slice was missing. The food couldn't beat this either. They ordered wild garlic tortellini in a spicy sauce with parmesan. The arrangement was very careless and amateurish. The parmesan cheese was "decorated" on the edge of the plate. The noodles were fried in oil (why was that ?! That wasn't on the menu either) the noodles were very greasy and you couldn't taste anything of the spicy (?) Sauce, as the dish only tasted like frying oil. For just under € 13 very overpriced and not worth the money. The plate went back. The review was kindly listened to and apologized, but the full price was charged. Pity! Apparently you can only eat the chicken there, for which the Essbachhof is known. In addition, there were carpets in the corridor, which represent a trip hazard, as the edges are up! Very dangerous for the elderly.

It was our first time here and we were thrilled with the food and above all with the friendly service. The menu is very good and the price-performance ratio fits. We'll be happy to come back.

Very good restaurant

Cheap hotel in the middle of Kitzingen. The price / performance ratio is right on the whole. The rooms are functional. Unfortunately, in the bathroom but some stains to see. Also the beds looked rather used but hopefully they were not. 80 euros for a single room with double bed, I think OK. The hotel is a designated Radhotel, so very popular with cyclists. Attention, Kitzingen is not a flat country, for older not so fitte people I recommend an e-bike. Food and drinks are good and not so expensive. The hotel does not have a wheelchair accessible entrance. Sometimes the staff has been rude, but more generous than cheeky. In summer you can also sit well in the beer garden, which is not big but comfortable. Despite the criticisms, I will come back.

Very nice, big rooms. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the food is good. Wifi has bad range, but acceptable speeds. Breakfast is good, but there's no bacon.
